People always say that life is a journey, and that each one is special and unique to the person living it. It can be as beautiful and exciting as it could be ugly and difficult. When we're met with obstacles that shake our foundations and push us to the edge, we cast everything into doubt – ourselves, the people around us, and God. When we've hit rock bottom, where do we go from there?
Maybe There’s a Loving God is Chadee Jimenez’s first solo art exhibit where its pieces are based on a collage journal she created six years ago, filled with thoughts, questions, and beliefs about faith and life.
Revisiting those pages and turning them into paintings has been a cathartic process — one that helped her reflect on who she was then, and where she stands now.
This exhibition is about being open. It’s about reexamining belief, holding on to what is still good, and not being afraid of doubt. Through these works, Chadee invites others to ask their own questions and find peace in not always having the answers.
About the Artist
Chadee is a thriving artist who works with a variety of media, like watercolor, embroidery and digital art. Her artworks depict her love and fascination with nature expressed through bold and bright colors. Her artwork has been featured in calendars, stationery and prints; and in local group exhibits.
